When enrolling for Apple Developer Account, one of the requirements is to activate two factor authentication (2FA) for stronger security. To enable this, you will need an Apple device. Once you have it, just follow the steps below

 

HAVING AN IPHONE OR AN IPAD?

  1. On your Apple device go to Settings > [Your name]
  2. Make sure you are logged on with the Apple ID email you used when applying for Apple Developer Account (if you created a new Apple ID when applying, then you will need to Sign Out from the current account account and log in with the newly created account)
  3. Tap Password & Security
  4. Tap Turn On Two-Factor Authentication
  5. Continue
  6. Enter your phone number
  7. Under VERIFY USING, choose Text Message
  8. Tap Next and wait until you receive a verification code from Apple
  9. Enter the verification code and enable 2FA


HAVING A MAC?

  1. In your MAC home screen, go to Apple menu () > System Preferences > iCloud 
  2. Make sure you are logged on with the Apple ID you used when applying for Apple Developer Account (if you created a new Apple ID email when applying, then you will need to Sign Out from the current account account and log in with the newly created account)
  3. Click on Account Details and choose Security tab
  4. Click on Turn On Two-Factor Authentication
  5. Continue
  6. Enter your phone number
  7. Under VERIFY USING, choose Text Message
  8. Tap Next and wait until you receive a verification code from Apple
  9. Enter the verification code and enable 2FA



Now you can continue with enrolling for Apple Developer Account!
