For a lot of restaurants, summer is a slow period with lower revenue and fewer guests. People tend to enjoy many social activities outdoors or are simply away, which may impact your sales negatively unless you actively promote your restaurant to stay on top of customers’ mind. 

From our overall market data, we see that sales from June to August can decline by as much as 20% 😢👎🏻 for our restaurant partners, so we are here to offer a few tips and tricks to make sure your menu is promoted to the customers – and become the delight of a picnic in the park 😉.

First tip: CASHPOINTS 💰

One simple trick to incentivize sales is to issue cashpoints at a higher percentage in the summer. Set your cashpoint percentage to 20-25% of all purchases. Second tip: COMMUNICATE 🤗

A promotional offer is only effective if it’s promoted properly 😊. Giving out cashpoints or discounts does not make sense unless customers are aware of such incentives. This means that restaurant managers have to make sure customers are made aware of the offers by promoting them across all the customer touch points with the restaurant, which include SMS, in-app notifications, and of course, in your social media outlets.

Always remember to be creative and personal when publishing discounts or special offers on your social media accounts as well.
