To get the most out of your new App, it is important that you get as many customers as possible to use it. This means using all your communication channels to inform customers that they can use your new app. You have many great communication channels at your disposal, we recommend using:
- Your employees. They should all have the app, and show it to your customers!
- Your webpage
- Social Media
- Automated Voice Mail
- Information on your business cards
- On the menu, add a QR-code with a link to the app download
- On your take-away bags
- Billboards outside the restaurant
We especially recommend issuing First time discounts 😍 to get the customer to start using the app, and then giving them a cashpoint percentage on all purchases going forward to retain them and make them
come back for more.
First time discount
To set up the first time discount, lets start by going to loyalty -> customer group. On the customer group page you can see and manage your existing customer groups.
Click add group and name the group, for example Welcome discount 😃
The next step is to edit the customer group so that all new customers are automatically added, and that the discount only applies for the first app purchase.
To do so click edit on the customer group you want to change. From here on, you want to tick the box next to both One time discount and Auto member and add a nice description welcoming new customers to the app. This is also where you set the discount percentage. As this is a one-time discount, we recommend setting it quite high.
Note! If the discount applies to the whole menu, you do not need to mark any of the items.
