Preparing the hardware
- Connect your Star Printer to your Wi-Fi router via ethernet cable (just for the initial set-up), plug it in a power outlet and turn it ON
- Plug in a Wi-Fi dongle into the USB port of the printer
- Connect your laptop to the same Wi-Fi as your Star Printer

Finding the ethernet IP address
- Turn OFF the Start Printer
- While holding the FEED button on the front of the printer, turn the printer ON
- Keep holding the FEED button for 5 seconds
- The printer will now print 2-3 receipts
- Locate the receipt labelled "Star IFBD-HI01X/02X"
- At the bottom of the receipt, look for the IP Address
Accessing printer settings
- Open a browser on your laptop and enter the IP Address found on the receipt
- Open a browser and enter the IP Address found on the receipt
- Once the page has loaded, look for Login under System Access
  4. Log in with the following
- Username: root
- Password: public

Connecting your printer to Wi-Fi
- Go to Wireless Connection under Configuration
  2. Click on Enter under Site Survey and the printer will search for available Wi-Fi networks
  3. Choose the most reliable Wi-Fi connection and click on Select
  4. Insert the Wi-Fi password in the Key field and click on connect
  5. Click on "Save"
  6. Click on execute

Done! Now your printer is able to print out the incoming
orders without being connected via ethernet cable.
